Addiction comes in all shapes and sizes, be it substances, alcohol, food, gambling, plastic surgery, sex or anything that is compulsive, all consuming, results in withdrawal and compulsive repetition.

 

The origins of addiction can traced to three primary triggers: Addiction by prescription, addiction by lifestyle and recreation and addiction caused by self-medication. Addiction is kept in place driven by an effort to numb the pain within.
